Changing Places Awareness Day
The motion
That the Parliament recognises that 19 July 2019 is Changing Places Awareness Day; notes that the Changing Places campaign was officially launched in July 2006 by the Changing Places Consortium; understands that changing places toilets were created to meet the needs of disabled children and adults with complex care needs who need carer support, appropriate equipment and more space; recognises that Changing Places Awareness Day is focusing on celebrating all that the campaign has achieved to date thanks to the dedicated support of incredible campaigners; understands that this is a further opportunity to help raise more awareness of the life-changing difference Changing Places toilets make to people's lives, not just in the UK but around the world, and urges all MSPs to raise awareness of the campaign across Scotland.
