Inverclyde Council Catering Staff Recognised with National Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates school catering staff at Ardgowan Primary School in Greenock on receiving a bronze "food for life service here" award from the Soil Association Scotland; understands that Inverclyde Council’s catering staff have been honoured for providing "delicious and nutritious meals" to over 3,500 primary pupils; appreciates that the accolade recognises councils that are serving school meals made from fresh ingredients and using free-range eggs, high-welfare meat and are free from genetically modified ingredients and undesirable additives, and commends Inverclyde Council’s catering staff for working hard to provide healthy meals for schoolchildren, which supports their physical and mental development.
