700th Anniversary of the Stocket Charter
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the anniversary of the signing of the Stocket Charter by King Robert the Bruce; understands that December 2019 will mark 700 years since its signing and the creation of the Common Good Fund, which is used for a number of charitable causes every year; further understands that the fund helped create Marischal College and helped citizens during outbreaks of disease; notes that celebration preparations are underway, and looks forward to learning more about planned festivities closer to the date.
