1st Bellshill and Mossend Scouts Prepare to Celebrate 100 Years
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the 1st Bellshill and Mossend Scout Group, which is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary later in 2019; understands that the Scout Group was registered in October 1919 and that a year of centenary celebrations has been planned for members new and old; notes that the celebrations began with a competition to design a badge to mark the centenary year and that Beaver Andrew Megan’s design was selected as the winner; acknowledges that Andrew was presented with a copy of the badge by the Group Scout Leader, Mark Lunny, and that the emblem will be used throughout the year for celebrations of this important landmark for 1st Bellshill and Mossend Scouts; believes that the work of the Scouts in the community is important, and hopes that they will have a wonderful celebration and enjoy many more years of success.
