Haddo and Aden Country Parks Earn Green Flag Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Haddo Country Park and Aden Country Park in Aberdeenshire on being two of the 71 parks across Scotland that have been presented with a Green Flag Award; understands that fewer than 2,000 parks across the world have achieved the International Green Flag Award; notes that the award is administered in Scotland by Keep Scotland Beautiful and that it celebrates well-maintained parks and green spaces and supports the opportunities they provide to improve mental wellbeing and enable exercise and outdoor play; believes that parks and open spaces make a tangible positive contribution to the nation’s wellbeing and its physical and mental health; commends the work of the teams at both Haddo and Aden, and wishes both parks well.
