Lenzie Academy Girls’ National Engineering Championship Win
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the all-girl team from Lenzie Academy in East Dunbartonshire on winning the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s national Faraday Challenge and £1,000 for the school; understands this to be a prestigious and demanding engineering competition in which six teams compete to create solutions to real-life problems; commends the Lenzie Academy team on designing a prototype vehicle to assist with the safe transport of the James Webb Space Telescope, and notes that the event seeks to encourage young people to consider a career in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
