Surge in Foodbank Demand in West Lothian

That the Parliament notes the reported 41% surge in demand for the services of West Lothian Foodbank over the last year; considers that this is a result of the number of people in poverty increasing as the income of lower income households falls further behind that of middle and high income households over the last three years, and calls on the Scottish and UK governments to directly address this problem by committing to a radical redistribution of power and wealth in Scotland.
