Changing Places Awareness Day 2019
The motion
That the Parliament notes that Changing Places Awareness Day 2019 was marked on 19 July; supports the work that charities such as PAMIS and Muscular Dystrophy UK do all year round to ensure that people with physical and learning disabilities have appropriate and dignified changing facilities; notes that there are more than a quarter of a million people in the UK who need access to Changing Places, which allow people with severe disabilities to leave the house, socialise, not feel limited by where they can go to and not have to worry about changing on a dirty bathroom floor, and encourages as many people as possible to get involved and raise awareness about Changing Places.
