Irvine’s Aldi Prevents Hunger
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Aldi store in Irvine on donating food items to Potters House Church; notes that Aldi branches across the west of the country have teamed up to donate surplus food directly to 16 community charities in a bid to prevent hunger; understands that each store is donating items such as fruit, vegetables, long-life items and baked goods; thanks the chain for donating two million meals to charity in 2018, with an expectation of increasing this by 50% in 2019, and wishes all the staff at Aldi all the best.
