Kilwinning Teenager Wins Gold in California
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Kilwinning teenager, Emma Sarginson, on winning two gold medals at the World Championships for Performing Arts in California; understands that the competition took place in Long Beach where she was up against competitors from 64 other countries; notes that she was awarded gold in the country and western 16 to 25 age division, and another gold in the pop category; congratulates Emma on also being awarded a scholarship at the prestigious New York Film Academy, which will begin in 2020; commends her for her exceptional talent, and wishes her every success in the future.
