Glasgow in European Capital of Investment Top 12
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow on its placement in the final 12 cities competing for the European Capital of Investment; notes that the final six cities competing for up to €1 million to scale up local innovation will be announced in September 2019; understands that the 12 cities are Antwerp, Bilbao, Bologna, Bristol, Dortmund, Espoo, Glasgow, Hamburg, London, Lyon, Nantes and Rotterdam; believes that this achievement is testament to Glasgow's diverse and growing economic environment, and considers that the placement of a Scottish city in this competition highlights the economic and civic benefits of Scotland's continued place in the EU.
