Balerno Lawn Tennis Club Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Balerno Lawn Tennis Club on being awarded £28,100 by the SUEZ Community Trust; notes that the Trust distributes the landfill tax credits donated by SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK to enhance communities through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund; understands that the money will be used to restore the pavilion of the Balerno Lawn Tennis Club by reinstating and updating plumbing and electrical supplies, as well as to provide changing rooms, toilets and a kitchen/social space; recognises that the Club is committed to offering excellent, accessible tennis facilities and coaching to all ages in the community all year round, and appreciates that this funding will help it to further these goals.
