St Magnus Way, Orkney

The motion

That the Parliament notes the unveiling of a new display board and marking stone on the Finstown-Orphir section of the St Magnus Way; understands that the St Magnus Way is a multi-stage walking trail around the Islands, and reflects the life and death of St Magnus the Martyr, who was murdered by his cousin and rival earl, Earl Haakon; notes that the route is extremely popular, attracting walkers from around the world, as well as being important to the historic and cultural heritage of Orkney, and thanks all the volunteers of Orkney Pilgrimage for their hard work in maintaining the route.
