Sutherland Spaceport
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the lease of land to the Sutherland Spaceport and HIE, marking a significant milestone in the development of this project; notes that the UK Space Agency awarded £2.5 million for the development of the launch site and is also funding two companies that will use it; recognises the social and economic benefits this project could bring to the north coast and across the region, and looks forward to further progress of this exciting facility.
