The Queen's Award for Caledonian Railway
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the volunteers of Brechin’s Caledonian Railway on receiving The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service; understands that 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the Caledonian Railway Society, and that the railway is the second most popular tourist attraction in Angus, attracting some 12,000 visitors each year; commends the hard work and dedication that the group’s volunteers provide in maintaining such an attraction, and looks forward to this award bringing more visitors to it in the months ahead.
