Port Glasgow Teenager, Anna Hemphill, Receives the Diana Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates 18-year-old Anna Hemphill, who is from Port Glasgow, on receiving the Diana Award, which is a prestigious honour recognising young people who have demonstrated their ability to inspire new generations to serve their communities; understands that Anna was nominated for the award by St Stephen’s High School, where she was a pupil, for raising over £12,000 for charity, including for the Golden Jubilee Hospital, where her mum, Mary, has received several life-saving procedures; commends Anna for her fundraising efforts, and wishes her well for the future, as she plans to study either nursing or an HND in additional support needs.
