Scotland's Debut Eurovision Performance
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Scotland’s participation in the upcoming Eurovision Choir 2019 contest in Gothenburg; notes that this will be Scotland’s debut performance in a Eurovision Network event; understands that the choir, named Alba, will be led by the BBC Weather presenter, Joy Dunlop, and will compete again choirs from Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Wales and the returning champions, Slovenia; recognises that Alba will be performing an arrangement of three Gaelic songs arranged by the composer and conductor, Sìleas Sinclair, and sends its best wishes to the 33-strong Scottish contingent for the competition on 3 August.
