City of Glasgow College Students to Compete at WorldSkills 2019
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates both students from the City of Glasgow College who have qualified successfully for Team UK at WorldSkills 2019 in Kazan, Russia; applauds the Wall and Floor Tiling apprentice, Mark Scott, who is from Shotts, and the Visual Merchandising student, Konnar Doyle, who is from Kilbirnie, for their success in the multiple qualifying stages leading up to being selected for the team; commends both students for demonstrating the commitment and level of hard work required to qualify for this prestigious competition; acknowledges WorldSkills as the Olympic Games of skills; congratulates the Principal and Chief Executive, Paul Little, and the team at the City of Glasgow College for creating an environment and ethos that values skills, and wishes both Konnar and Mark every success at the competition and in the future.
