Colinton Village Enterprise Becomes a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Colinton Village Enterprise on becoming a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO); notes that the SCIO status will enable the Enterprise to enter into contracts, employ staff and own property; appreciates that, as an organisation, Colinton Village Enterprise manages numerous local events, including Art in the Park, Arts by the Book, Colinton in Bloom, Christmas on the Corner and the upcoming, free-to-attend Curry in the Park, which takes place in conjunction with the Spylaw Tavern on 7 September 2019 in Spylaw Park; thanks the volunteers that run Colinton Village Enterprise on a non-profit basis, and recognises their significant contribution to the community and people of Colinton.
