The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Jill Lauder and her team at Lady J’s Hair Salon in Grangemouth, on donating their wages, time and proceeds from their monthly Monday VIP pampering sessions for women with cancer and donating it to Strathcarron Hospice; understands that, as well as reasonably priced hair-cuts, the day also featured a raffle, tombola and cake sale, generating £2,015 to give to the hospice, which provides palliative care and specialist end-of-life care to people in the Forth Valley area and across the country; notes that Strathcarron Hospice was established in 1981; recognises Lady J and her team’s efforts in providing VIP pampering sessions for women with cancer on one Monday each month, and notes that this was the subject of a BBC Spotlight programme recently; congratulates everyone involved in raising this money for charity, and wishes them continued success in the future.
