Success for North Lanarkshire Schools Novice A Pipe Band at World Championships
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates North Lanarkshire Schools Novice A Band, which has been crowned World Champions at the World Pipe Band Championships that were held at Glasgow Green on 18 August 2019; notes that, as well as being crowned World Champions in the Novice A category, the band was also crowned Drumming Champions and Champions of Champions, while the Novice B band finished third in a field of 21 bands; further notes that the World Championships are held every year and regularly attract more than 220 bands from over 15 countries around the world, and wishes the pipe band well for the rest of the season and in all its future endeavours.
