The Robertson Trust Awards Almost £500,000 to Inverclyde Groups
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the tremendous funding amount given to organisations working in Inverclyde by The Robertson Trust, with 16 groups sharing a total of £472,035, according to the charity’s 2018-19 Annual Report; notes that, of these 16 organisations, 11 are based in Inverclyde; commends the Trust on its mission to improve the quality of life and help realise the potential of people and communities across Scotland; welcomes the news that it launched a new pilot, Wee Grants for Wee Groups, in June 2019, to provide funding worth from £500 to £2,000 to smaller community groups and charities, and believes that funding streams such as that from The Robertson Trust are essential for Scotland’s third sector to thrive and deliver initiatives that benefit communities.
