David Kay of the International Fire and Rescue Association
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates David Kay, founder and director of the International Fire and Rescue Association (IFRA) on receiving The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service; notes the contribution made by David and IFRA in helping firefighters in other countries by providing equipment that is surplus to requirements but still fully operational, as well as training that would not otherwise be available; believes that this practical support has made a huge contribution to lifesaving around the world; believes that IFRA embodies the principle of international solidarity, and wishes both David and IFRA every success in the future.
