Glasgow Kelvin College
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes Glasgow Kelvin College’s Strategic Plan 2019-2022; acknowledges that 48% of its student body are from the 10% most deprived postcodes, which makes it unique among Scotland’s colleges; commends its commitment to delivering an accessible, inclusive, high-quality learning experience for students; believes that there is a key role for both Glasgow Kelvin and Glasgow Clyde colleges, particularly in serving the more peripheral communities in contrast to the City of Glasgow College; praises Kelvin’s 97% rate of students going either into further education or employment, and appreciates the community and economic impact that the college has in Scotland.
