Lewis and Harris Women’s FC Crowned Highlands and Islands League Cup Winners

That the Parliament congratulates Lewis and Harris Women’s FC on winning the first Scottish Women’s Football Highlands and Islands League Cup following an impressive 7-0 victory against Clachnacuddin Women FC, with a hat-trick coming from Mary MacLeod, a brace from Shana MacPhail and the other goal from Jessica MacLeod; notes that this success marked the team going 10 games in a row undefeated, a run that included a 13-0 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle and a 17-1 defeat of Nairn Ladies in the earlier rounds of the cup; believes however that the final marked the end of a glorious chapter for the club, as it has now withdrawn from the league following a number of its members leaving the island for university; commends the effort and dedication shown by the team; acknowledges that its players were required to constantly travel by ferry to compete on the mainland, and wishes everyone associated with the club the very best.
