Motion · S5M-18647 · 29 Aug 2019
United States Immigration Detention Centres and Access to Period Products
The motion
That the Parliament is concerned by reports that young people and women detained at federal immigration centres in the United States are being denied access to sufficient period products; considers that access to period products should be considered a basic human right, not a privilege; condemns the current practices and immigration policies being pursued by the Trump administration, and commends the activists who are fighting for justice for those who are being detained.
