Paraclimb 2019 Festival
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the Scottish Paraclimb 2019 Festival, which will be held on 8 September 2019 at the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena in Ratho; understands that paraclimbing is a form of rock climbing designed for people with visual, physical and neurological impairments; recognises that the Paraclimb Festival is about more than competition and offers two levels of participation possible where climbers can either “come-and-try”, giving those with no climbing experience an opportunity to try, as well as an “all-abilities competition”, where routes and boulder problems have been specifically designed for paraclimbers by paraclimbers, and wishes participants and organisers every success at the festival.
