Asda Fights Hunger and Creates Change
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Asda Dyce and Asda Middleton Park on committing to donate surplus food to local good causes through FareShare Go; notes that Asda is investing more than £20 million over three years to support FareShare and the Trussell Trust in their efforts to tackle poverty; understands that each store will donate the equivalent of around 20,000 meals to charities in their local area over the next 12 months, and acknowledges the positive impact this initiative will have on thousands of vulnerable people in their local communities.
