Fit Like Joggers Installation of Defibrillator
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the running club, the Fit Like Joggers, for fundraising to purchase and install a new defibrillator; understands that the device is located in the lobby of the Mariner Hotel on Great Western Road, Aberdeen, and that the funds were raised by the club through a variety of quiz nights, raffles and donations from local businesses; notes that, although only £1,296 was required for the installation, the club raised £3,200 in order to provide training for its members; understands that defibrillator training courses will be run by Stuart Gordon of SMG Safety and that first aid courses will be ran by Ewan Begg of JB Safesite, and congratulates the club, family members and fundraisers, and Mike Edwards at the Mariner Hotel, for all their efforts to secure the installation of this life-saving device.
