Gary MacLean at Muirhead Community Garden

That the Parliament welcomes Gary MacLean's visit to Muirhead Community Garden to show families how to go sustainable, fresh and local with their food; understands that Muirhead Community Garden, which was set up and supported by both government and third sector grants, welcomes children and families facing economic hardship to take part in local growing and learn about nutritional diets; notes with concern the statistic in 2018 that one in ten people in Scotland experience food poverty; wishes Muirhead Community Garden luck with its continued support for the Edinburgh Western constituency, and urges more communities in the area to get involved.
