Keep Scotland Beautiful 's Upstream Battle Campaign
The motion
That the Parliament recognises the Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB) campaign, Upstream Battle, which urges people to take pride in the Clyde by taking action to stop litter on land ending up in the river or its tributaries; understands that 80% of marine litter begins on land, with 12.7 million tonnes of plastic making its way into the sea every year; recognises the environmental damage that can be caused by plastic in rivers and seas, and supports KSB in its campaign to reduce the amount of litter and plastic that ends up in Scotland's waters.
