Kirriemuir Community Council Raises Money for Local Defibrillators
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the ambitious plan to install lifesaving defibrillators in redundant telephone boxes across Angus; understands that members of the Kirriemuir Community Council have set up a crowdfunding campaign in the hope of raising £8,000 for four strategically placed defibrillators in and around the town; understands that they purchased the telephone boxes, with the first money raised going towards the telephone box in Maryton; acknowledges that the campaign aims to raise funds to make the defibrillators available in the community 24 hours a day, and wishes all those involved success with this project.
