Kilwinning Man Raises Funds for MND Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Kilwinning’s Paul Sharpe for raising over £6,500 for MND Scotland; acknowledges that Paul is set to take on the challenge of a five-day trek along the Great Wall of China on 14 September 2019; recognises that the challenge is in memory of his wife, Wendy, who died from motor neurone disease on 1 May 2018 aged 50; notes that part of the challenge involves climbing 1,000 steps to the top, carrying a brick to help repair this Wonder of the World; praises Paul and the 38 other MND fundraisers for their commitment, and wishes them all the best for the challenging journey ahead.
