Chelsea Raymond
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Chelsea Raymond on winning the Best Volunteer in Girls’/Women’s Football award at the 2019 Grassroots Football Awards, presented by McDonald’s UK and the Sunday Mail; understands that she has shown exemplary commitment to women’s football in Scotland, and, as team secretary for the Stirling University Development Team, found a coach, created the team and enrolled the team for the league, making sure all players were signed up; acknowledges that, without her efforts, the Stirling University Development Team would not exist; notes that Chelsea also runs the Scottish FA Lee Alexander Soccer Centre in Stirling every Saturday, ensuring that all young girls who participate have a brilliant, positive first experience within the football environment; considers her to be an excellent role model for football and sport in Scotland, and hopes that she enjoys receiving her award at the ceremony at Hampden Park later in September 2019.
