International Sheep Dog Trials in Angus
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the International Sheep Dog Trials to Angus in September 2019; understands that 8,000 spectators are expected to attend the event, which has been awarded more than £13,000 in VisitScotland funding; notes that an artist and local farmer has decorated hay bales to mark the occasion; understands that sheep dogs are trained to catch ewes and lambs at lambing time as well as bring bullocks in for housing during winter, and looks forward to what it believes will be a successful event.
