Essential Lottery Funding for the Historic King's Theatre

That the Parliament welcomes the generous National Lottery Heritage Fund grant to refurbish the historic King’s Theatre in Edinburgh; notes that the renovation will include upgrades to the building, the installation of lifts and better facilities for disabled people; understands that the theatre now intends to apply for the second, more significant, stage of heritage funding; recognises that it is one of only a handful of Grade A-listed theatres in Scotland, and believes that such a grant is a significant step toward fully funding essential renovation work.
