Glasgow Swimmer, Louis Lawlor, Wins Bronze
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Louis Lawlor on his international debut and subsequent success in the London 2019 World Para Swimming Allianz Championships; understands that Louis, who swims for the City of Glasgow Swim Team, made his World Championships debut and won bronze in the S14 100m Backstroke; notes that the Glasgow-born swimmer achieved two mixed category podiums at the 2018 British Para-Swimming International Meet in Sheffield, while his performance the following year in the MC 100m Backstroke earned his selection to represent Great Britain at his first World Championships, and understands that he was also named Best Swimmer at the 2018 Scottish Junior Learning Disability Swimming Championships.
