Livingston's Mattuga Rum Celebrated at Women's Enterprise Scotland Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Mattuga Rum distillery, which is based in Livingston, on winning the Start Up of The Year Award at the recent Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards 2019: commends the distillery on being the first of its kind in Central Scotland: recognises the achievements of husband and wife, Paul and Jacine Rutasikwa, in founding the distillery, which has produced over 50,000 litres of rum in its first year; further recognises that the business has brought employment and economic benefits to the Almond Valley, and wishes all involved well for the future in building on their success.
