Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface Launches Social Enterprise Strategy

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI), which has an exhibition stall in the building between 24 and 26 September 2019; understands that CTSI is celebrating Clackmannanshire’s 30-year history of successful social enterprise development with a Festival of Social Enterprise, running through September, during which its new five-year Social Enterprise Strategy is being launched; recognises that the sector has flourished over the last year, with a rise in the number of social enterprises of 65.5% taking the sector size to 4.3% of the local business market; notes that the income generated from code-compliant social enterprises and enterprising charities is now £16.5 million, making up 22% of the value of the third sector in the county; understands that CTSI hopes that this will help to grow local resident awareness and support a new Forth Valley Social Enterprise Network; congratulates all those involved with CTSI, and wishes them every success with the Social Enterprise Strategy.
