ScotRail and Car Parking at Uphall Railway Station
The motion
That the Parliament understands that, for three years, ScotRail has stated that it is committed to, and has plans for, upgrading parking at Uphall railway station; further understands that commitments were given to the local community to increase capacity with more parking bays to help alleviate what it considers the appalling congestion in nearby streets; acknowledges that site meetings have taken place with plans drawn up for new spaces; understands, however, that these proposals have been rejected and that there is no longer any project to increase capacity at Uphall; believes this to be a disgraceful way to operate, and considers that ScotRail has misled the community and the travelling public.
