Equitable Members Action Group

That the Parliament notes with concern what it considers the ongoing injustice experienced by people living in Clackmannanshire, Bridge of Allan and Dunblane, and others across Scotland, caused by the reported lack of remuneration of money invested in the Equitable Life pension company; understands that, through maladministration and regulatory failure, hundreds of thousands of previous policy holders have been deprived of their money; commends the ongoing work by the Equitable Members Action Group, which continues to fight for fair compensation for those who lost money as a result of the collapse of Equitable Life; understands that this issue is reserved and continues to be raised by SNP MPs at the UK Parliament, and supports calls for the full amount currently owed to be repaid.
