Glasgow Students Strike Home with Anti-bigotry Message

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates students from the City of Glasgow College on designing the "Bigotry’s Not in Your Blood" poster campaign competition; understands that the latest initiative from the Nil By Mouth charity, in partnership with Global Acts of Unity, encourages marketing students to devise a campaign aimed at challenging prejudice in society; acknowledges that the campaign will feature on bus shelters and social media platforms across the city; notes that it will encourage people to respond to difference not with anger or violence but with questions and a will to find common ground; understands that Nil by Mouth called the students design campaign "very imaginative and timely with a powerful visual image that seeks to remind people that regardless of our colour or creed the same blood flows through all our veins", and believes that the judging panel was hugely impressed by the concept that the young women came up with.
