New Sensory Garden at St John's Mother and Baby Unit
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity on providing financial assistance to open a new sensory garden in the grounds of St John’s Hospital, Livingston; understands that the family-friendly garden area helps better support the recovery of mothers experiencing mental health issues after giving birth; acknowledges that the revamp includes sensory plants and a seating area, where people using the facility are encouraged to participate in its upkeep; understands that the children's charity distributes around £1.5 million per year to support children’s hospitals across Scotland, and wishes it continued success for the future.
