Marie Dobson Raises Over £3,000 for the Charity, Coppafeel
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Marie Dobson, who is from Newmachar, on raising over £3,000 by hosting a 5k charity run at Haddo Estate; understands that the proceeds will go towards supporting Breast Cancer Care and the awareness charity, Coppafeel; notes that Coppafeel is the first breast cancer charity in the UK to solely create awareness among young people, with the aim of instilling the knowledge and tools that they need to get to know their bodies; recognises that its mission is to encourage self-checking from a young age, educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and to empower young people to seek advice from a doctor; understands that after she was diagnosed with the condition, Marie decided to leave a legacy, and to inspire others to be active and enjoy their health; commends Marie on her strength, positivity and fundraising efforts, and sends her its best wishes.
