Hip Hip Hooray, Andy Murray Wins the ATP European Open
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Andy Murray on winning the ATP European Open; notes that Andy, who had major hip surgery in January 2019, was playing in just his seventh tournament since returning to singles; appreciates this incredible achievement, including his stunning comeback in the final from a set and a break point down to defeat Stan Wawrinka 3-6 6-4 6-4 in Antwerp; wishes Andy continued success and good health, and believes that Scotland should honour his achievements and legacy by working towards all young people having equal access to high-quality tennis facilities.
