Kirsty Denoon from Angus, Supporting a Volunteering Project in Costa Rica
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Kirsty Denoon, who is a sixth-year school pupil from Angus, on raising £4,500 towards an international volunteering project in Costa Rica; understands that Kirsty will spend a month in that country where she will learn valuable life skills that she hopes to pass on as she works towards becoming a primary school teacher; notes that she has invested many hours toward raising her target, which has included her running a successful charity shop, organising a cake sale at her school and being sponsored by Matrix in Brechin for taking part in a mud run, and wishes Kirsty success with her endeavours.
