Scotland Qualifies for 2020 ICC T20 World Cup
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Scotland on qualifying for the finals of the ICC T20 World Cup, which will be held in Australia in October and November 2020; notes that, after finishing fourth in its qualifying group, the team defeated the United Arab Emirates by 90 runs in a play-off in Dubai; recognises that Kyle Coetzer from Aberdeen captained the side to victory, scoring 34 of its 198 runs; notes that Kyle played alongside his fellow Aberdonians, Matthew Cross, Michael Leask and Josh Davey; commends the team on qualifying for this prestigious international tournament, and wishes the players all the best for the event.
