Alexandra Gardyne, Scottish National Portrait Gallery Exhibition
The motion
That the Parliament commends Alexandra Gardyne, who is from Gorebridge, for her work in organising a new exhibition for the Scottish National Portrait Gallery; understands that Alexandra, who has the muscle-wasting condition, facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, modelled for a series of charcoal and pastel studies by the renowned Scottish artist, Damian Callan, which he has developed into paintings that, along with works from several other artists, will be exhibited on 9 November 2019; notes that the money raised will be donated to Muscular Dystrophy UK; thanks Alexandra for highlighting such muscle conditions, and wishes her all the best for the exhibition.
