NHS Tayside Pharmacy Support Workers

That the Parliament acknowledges the ongoing industrial dispute between NHS Tayside and pharmacy support workers; understands that the dispute involves disagreement over pay grades and that continuous strike action commenced on 19 August 2019; recognises the vital role of Unite the Union in trying to resolve this dispute; regrets that, despite agreement being reached on at least two occasions to deliver a local resolution, this has not been delivered, with both agreements it believes having been obstructed at the eleventh hour; understands that Unite the Union has stated that the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Sport has failed to communicate effectively with it during the dispute; notes that the Cabinet Secretary has now agreed to meet with representatives of the union on 19 November, and further notes the calls on the Scottish Government to make representations to NHS Tayside to ensure that this situation is brought to a quick and satisfactory conclusion.
