Andrew Davidson's Fraserburgh Film Archive
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Andrew Davidson, who is a student from Fraserburgh, for creating what Professor Peter Reid has described as the “best film archive that any town in Scotland has”; understands that Andrew undertook the project as part of his Masters' Degree in Library and Information Studies at Robert Gordon University; notes that he discovered a great deal of historic film footage depicting work and events in Fraserburgh, which he has sourced, researched, digitised and made available online; commends Andrew on this work; believes that it will help to protect the cultural heritage of Fraserburgh and Scotland, and looks forward to seeing what other important footage he can bring to light.
